Chicago Bulls Receive: G Damian Lillard, F Josh Hart
Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Patrick Williams, C Nikola Vucevic, G Lonzo Ball, G Coby White, 2023 First-Round Pick (via POR), 2027 First-Round Pick, 2029 First-Round Pick

If Damian Lillard were to be involved in a trade, it would need to feature a hefty return being sent to the Portland Trail Blazers. However, his age (32 in July) and coming off a season-ending surgery are important elements of context to consider, too.

Lillard, along with Josh Hart, would be sent to the Chicago Bulls in this NBA trade scenario. The return would give them another star in hopes of contending for a championship

In an ideal situation, Lillard would join Zach LaVine if the Bulls can bring him back along with DeMar DeRozan on the wing. Chicago would have quite a potent perimeter scoring punch.

However, there appears to be an increasing chance that LaVine does not return to the Bulls after reaching free agency this offseason. If that’s the case, finding an explosive scorer to serve as his replacement would become all the more important.

The return for the Trail Blazers would be headlined by Nikola Vucevic to give Anfernee Simons a pick-and-roll partner for his development. Patrick Williams, who was taken No. 4 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, would fill a key role, too. The Bulls would also part with Lonzo Ball and Coby White coupled with some draft assets.

Let’s take a closer look and see how his trade would benefit both sides right away.
