Charlotte Hornets
It is no secret that the Charlotte Hornets need help in the frontcourt but this trade would make sense for them in more ways than one.
The Hornets saw LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges take massive steps this season. They are both looking like cornerstone players for the future but neither is extended long-term to this point. This means that the Hornets will have to clear up some space in order to get these deals done.
Both Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward are signed contracts over the next couple of years. Love has just one year left on his deal so it would make sense for Charlotte to flip one of those players for him. It seems as though Hayward would make the most sense, given the fact that he has two years and nearly $63 million left.
This would allow Love to play out the final year of his deal before entering free agency. Once this happens, the Hornets would have space to sign their cornerstones.
