The Utah Jazz won’t have any interest in either Steven Adams or Dillon Brooks here. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies won’t be enthusiastic about parting with either of the solid veterans.

They’re the only players on the roster that can match salaries with Mitchell besides Jaren Jackson Jr. Something tells us the Grizzlies wouldn’t give him up.

They won’t be eager to hand Desmond Bane over to the Jazz either. Realistically, he’s the centerpiece of this deal for Utah. At the same time, they’re going to have to give up value to land a star of Mitchell’s caliber.

That’s the cost of doing business in the NBA. There will be Grizzlies fans who will be angered by this article. You’re entitled to your feelings. We’re only suggesting that it won’t be possible to land a second offensive star without surrendering the type of value.
