Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings might not be an ideal destination for a young player but the front office is slowly trying to build something.
This can be done by nailing a top-10 draft pick this year. If Johnny Davis is on the board, he is not the worst option to pair in the backcourt with De’Aaron Fox, who should stick around now that the Kings made a deal for Domantas Sabonis.
Fox blossomed into a star for the Kings and they are hoping that Davis would do the same. He would be able to complement Fox’s game well, which is fast-paced using his speed and ball-handling ability. Davis is quick with the ball as well but also thrives in the half-court because of his instincts and decision-making.
The Kings acquired Sabonis at the trade deadline from the Indiana Pacers. This move hinted that Fox would not be going anywhere and Sacramento was attempting to build a core moving forward. If there is another big move to be made, they might be in the mix.

This is the method, along with the draft, that the Kings have used since it is not an attractive destination for free agents.
Davis could eventually turn into that third player that helps the Kings compete in the West. It has been 16 years since Sacramento was in the postseason and there could be an end with a few more pieces.
