The Memphis Grizzlies had an outstanding 2021-22 season. As it stands, they’re down 3-1 vs the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Regardless of the outcome of that series, the first statement holds true.

They finished the season second in the Western Conference at 56-26. That’s impressive for a team this young. It still somehow feels like they’re a piece away from true contention.

That piece could be Miles Bridges. Granted, the Hornets won’t part with him easily. He enjoyed a breakout 2021-22 season, garnering some Most Improved Player consideration in the process.

In all likelihood, they’re envisioning him as part of their core for years to come.
