Shaedon Sharpe
Like Patrick Baldwin Jr., Shaedon Sharpe has plenty to prove in the NBA’s pre-draft process. Unlike Baldwin Jr., he didn’t play a single minute in this last NCAA season. Despite that fact, Sharpe is still expected to be a lottery pick due to the elite scoring prowess that he showed in his time in high school.
The “honorary” Kentucky Wildcat has yet to officially declare for the draft, but mock drafts and big boards all expect him to be eligible come June. Even though Sharpe is expected to go in the lottery, he could cement himself as a top prospect by dominating his fellow draftees throughout the pre-draft gauntlet.
This draft class has proven to be weaker than in years past, particularly in terms of potential franchise cornerstones. With a strong combine and some impressive team workouts, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Sharpe launch himself into the top five of this draft.
He clearly has all of the tools necessary to compete at the next level, and the offensive bag required to be a star. Sharpe just needs to prove that he can do it against professional caliber defenders. Teams will also want to see if he’s still polished after taking a year off from organized basketball.

NBA fans who haven’t studied Sharpe’s high school tapes will want to tune into the combine to see the potential that has scouts and executives drooling. There’s no doubt that Sharpe is itching to prove himself and dominate in a competitive setting again.
