The New York Knicks thought they were on the right track after finishing fourth in the Eastern Conference standings in the 2021-22 NBA season. Instead, things have gone downhill since being sent home early by Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks.

This is not much of a surprise when looking at the cast of characters. Julius Randle received a contract extension based on an emotional decision after a career year.

Randle came back down to Earth this season, especially from three-point range. RJ Barrett continues to improve but needs to show more consistency on a nightly basis.

As for the Golden State Warriors, they are looking like the real deal once again with their full repertoire of players healthy and back on the floor.
