These 3 Teams Could Pursue Carmelo Anthony In Free Agency

Carmelo Anthony, Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

When Carmelo Anthony was out of the NBA, many were outraged. Now, the future Hall of Famer is entering free agency. The question is, should he be able to remain in the league?

Anthony struggled to find a home once he was sent out of New York. He caught back on with the Portland Trail Blazers before landing in Los Angeles.

Anthony’s resurgence was a key reason the Lakers had high hopes coming into the season. It was a huge storyline that Anthony would play on the same team as LeBron James, but it did not work out.

Anthony is currently 37-years-old. During this past season with the Lakers, he averaged 13.3 points per game and shot 44.1% from the floor. However, he’s not the player he was once and will unlikely land a starting spot in the league. Of course, that is if he wants to remain with a contender.

There are plenty of teams in the league that could want to take a chance on Anthony and his shooting ability. It will be a short-term deal where he is not all that much money if this happens. It all comes down to which team would want to take this chance and if Anthony wants to continue to play.

If Carmelo Anthony shows interest in returning, these three teams could be some of the first on the phone.
