Sacramento Kings Receive: G Duncan Robinson, F/C Omer Yurtseven
Miami Heat Receive: F Harrison Barnes
On the (uncomfortable) topic of Richaun Holmes: the Kings need a backup big man. As we established, they also need floor spacing. This deal provides them with both.
Granted, Robinson had a down year from distance. By his own standard, that is. The 37.2% he hit from distance is solid, but pails in comparison to his career mark of 40.6%.
Meanwhile, Yurtseven had an encouraging rookie season for the Miami Heat. The undrafted big man has a high basketball IQ and knows how to use his size to his advantage. He should be able to make up a large portion of the production the Kings will be losing in Holmes.
This deal should benefit both the Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings. Robinson’s contract is not well-regarded around the league, but he does fit the Kings’ specific needs. They’re also getting a useful, young player in addition for the sake of taking on his burden.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat get a straightforward roster upgrade. With PJ Tucker approaching retirement, they’ll be needing a new 4 soon. At 29, Barnes could be the perfect man for the job.
