Warren earns his status as a sleeper for very different reasons than the other free agents listed here.

He isn’t aging. At 28, he’s still in the thick of his prime. He’s not coming off of poor play. The last time Warren suited up for the bulk of a season, he averaged 19.8 efficient points per game.

It’s when that last time occurred that threatens to hold Warren’s contract back.

The last time Warren played over a sizeable portion of an NBA season was 2019-20. He managed four games in 2020-21 before being sidelined with an injury that kept him out for the entirety of last season. By now, his injury history is a real concern.

His production from two seasons ago should inspire a contender to overlook it. Warren seems like a strong candidate to sign a “prove it” deal. As in, prove you can stay healthy. If he can, look for whichever team lands him to benefit from it.
