Jeremy Lamb
Of all the free agents on this list, Lamb probably fits the “sleeper” description most aptly. Unlike his peers, Lamb had an outright poor 2021-22 season.
He’s supposed to be a 3-and-D wing, so his 30.2% accuracy from downtown last season did little to inspire. In fact, it begs the question: what would a contender want him with Lamb?
Well, it’s hard to imagine he’ll command a massive salary. Lamb could still serve as an effective tenth man in a contending rotation. More importantly, his career 34.2% accuracy from range is probably more reflective of his actual abilities.
Overall, Lamb should represent a small gamble. If his three improves back to previous marks, he becomes a prototypical 3-and-D wing. If it doesn’t, you can push him to the end of your bench without raising many eyebrows.
