Gary Harris
The last time Gary Harris got paid, it was in an amount that would hardly qualify him as a “sleeper”. The Nuggets rewarded the 3-and-D guard with a deal worth an average annual amount of $21 million in 2018-19.
It would be hard to say Harris earned that amount. In fact, it’s generally been regarded as a poor contract. Harris’ shooting fell off a cliff it never seemed to climb back up shortly after signing.
Until last season, that is. Harris shot 38.4% from distance last season while maintaining his solid brand of defense. It was a comeback year for the 7-year veteran. It came just in time for him to get paid again.
This time, he’s probably not getting $21 million a season. Still, there will be a contender looking for a steady, plug-and-play guard/wing like Harris.

At the right price, it could be the signing that gets that contender over the top.
