Dallas Mavericks Come Through In Seven Games
A lot of people are going to count the Dallas Mavericks out of this series with Doncic ailing. The team wasn’t great without him this season, going 8-9. Utah is a pretty heavy favorite to win the series as a result.
But, the Utah Jazz has not proven that they can take advantage of golden opportunities presented to them in the postseason. After Kawhi Leonard went down last season, they lost two consecutive games, one at home, to lose the series.
Dallas certainly isn’t as dangerous of a team without Doncic and doesn’t have a Paul George to carry the team in his absence, but Jason Kidd will find the right combination to get the job done. The Mavericks will win Game 1 off the energy and adrenaline that the crowd will provide.
That will enable them to hold Doncic out of Game 2, giving him extra time to rest as they have the series lead. Utah will bounce back with a victory in that game and follow it up with a victory in Game 3.

Doncic will return at that point and give the Mavericks the spark that they are looking for. They will win Game 4 before heading back home and winning Game 5, grabbing all of the momenta in the series.
Utah will bounce back and defend its home court before the Dallas Mavericks win a thrilling Game 7, sending the Jazz home early, which will signal some major changes being made.
