The 2021-22 NBA regular season came to an end on Sunday. Next up on the schedule is the NBA Play-In Tournament which will lead into the postseason.

The Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, and Charlotte Hornets are taking part in the Eastern Conference. In the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves, LA Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs will be facing off.

The winners in their respective conferences will earn the No. 7 and 8 seeds, completing the 2022 NBA Playoff field. Unlike in years past, this year’s postseason doesn’t have a huge favorite that is head and shoulders above everyone else.

The favorites coming into the regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, will not be facing off in the NBA Finals. The Lakers didn’t even qualify for a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament, while the Nets have a long road ahead of them as the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.
