New Orleans Pelicans Receive: F/C John Collins, C Onyeka Okongwu, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2022 First-Round Pick (via OKC), 2022 First-Round Pick (via CHA), 2023 First-Round Pick Swap, 2024 First-Round Pick
Atlanta Hawks Receive: F Zion Williamson, G Devonte’ Graham, C Jaxson Hayes

The Atlanta Hawks are a team that could use a little bit of a shake-up to get to that next level. After advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021, they have taken a step back during the 2021-22 season.

Their ceiling doesn’t seem to be as high as it seemed to be. They brought back John Collins in free agency, but it doesn’t seem like a relationship that will last for the duration of the pact. Looking to make a splash, they use his contract to bring in a high-upside star in Zion Williamson.

Heading to New Orleans with Collins is Onyeka Okongwu, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Atlanta is also sending multiple draft picks to New Orleans, two of which have some protections.

Because of the protections, those picks could turn into second-round picks, which is why Atlanta is including two of their own in 2022 and 2024 to convey. The 2023 first-rounder is a pick swap because of the Stepien Rule.
