Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns (56-14) took on Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets (17-52) in part of the Wednesday NBA slate. The Suns won the game 129-112.

Even without Chris Paul in the lineup, the Suns have managed to continue to achieve success. It was more of the same in this one against a rebuilding squad.

The Suns received a lot of strong scoring outings from key players in this one. Devin Booker finished with 36 points, four rebounds, and four assists to lead the Suns, but Mikal Bridges (26), Deandre Ayton (23), and Torrey Craig (21) each surpassed the 20-point threshold, too.

Jalen Green (22) and Kevin Porter Jr. (21) each scored 20+ points for the Houston Rockets, but the team’s defense just stood no chance against this Suns team.

The play of Devin Booker has been steady for the Suns throughout the season. He’s set the tone and entered this game averaging 25.6 points per game on the year, but lately, Deandre Ayton has stepped up with averages of 19.6 points and 8.8 rebounds in his 10 prior outings.

Still, in the early stage of the rebuilding process, the Rockets’ main objective is to compete at a high-level while key young players while Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. develop.

No team is giving up more points per game than the Houston Rockets this season. Against a well-oiled machine like the Phoenix Suns, that proved to be a challenge to get stops.
