After reaching the Western Conference Finals for the first-time in team history last season, the Los Angeles Clippers have their work cut out for them the rest of the NBA season, as they are currently right in the middle of the play-in tournament standings in the Western Conference.

The Clippers currently find themselves 36-34 on the season, which is actually pretty impressive given that Kawhi Leonard has not played all year long due to his offseason ACL surgery and since Paul George has been out since mid-December with an elbow injury.

With both All-Stars out, the Clippers definitely have a slim chance of going on another magical run like they did a season ago, but this team has shown a lot of fight all year long and their outlook for next season is looking great.

Reggie Jackson, Luke Kennard, Terance Mann and Nicolas Batum have all stepped up this season for Los Angeles and with Norman Powell being a key trade deadline addition this year, the Clippers will undoubtedly be championship contenders next year with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard healthy.

Just because they look like a strong team moving forward though does not mean that the Clippers will not continue being aggressive in search of more talent.

Addressing their backcourt is something GM Michael Winger and the Clippers’ front-office would like to do in the offseason in order to have another reliable ball-handler next to Reggie Jackson.

The Clippers have been linked to big names in the past and they could very much look to add another key name to their roster this upcoming offseason in John Wall.

While he has not played at all this season in Houston, Wall is wanting to get back out on the court and play for a contending team in this league. Being a primary facilitator and a very unselfish offensive player, John Wall could fit in perfectly as the third star in the Clippers’ rotation next to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

The only problem with Wall that many teams around the league face is his contract and the $47.3 million he is owed next season.

Could the Clippers find a way to navigate around this contract in order to bring John Wall to Los Angeles? Let’s take a look at an offseason trade proposal put together by Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey that sends Wall to the Clippers.
