LeBron James has been making history all season. Earlier in the 2021-22 NBA campaign, James became the first member of the 30 thousand points, 10 thousand rebounds, and nine thousand assists in a career.

Those numbers are going to be difficult for anyone to obtain. And yet again this weekend, James rewrote the record books. With the six assists that he recorded against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night, James is now the only member in the 30K points, 10K rebounds and 10K assists club.

To reach those numbers is truly astounding. To score as many points as he has while still being an elite playmaker, it is hard to put into words how incredible that is. Normally players that score at the clip that he does aren’t regarded don’t rack up assist numbers. The same could be said the other way, as players who set the table rarely score with that frequency as well.

But, LeBron James is in another class. He has been an elite scorer and playmaker throughout his career and he will continue moving up all-time lists in every statistical category.

Next up for James is surpassing Karl Malone on the all-time points scored list. There is a chance he accomplishes that feat this week, as James is only 104 points behind Malone for second place.

After that, the only man ahead of James on the scoring list would be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who poured in 38,387 points in his career.

When you combine playoff scoring numbers with regular-season ones, James is already No. 1 on that list. But, he could overtake the record that Abdul-Jabbar holds by the All-Star break next season as long as he isn’t forced to miss any extended periods because of injury.
