The Golden State Warriors have hit a bit of a lull in recent weeks. They are currently on a five-game losing streak, which has dropped their record to 43-22 on the 2021-22 NBA season and has allowed the Memphis Grizzlies to push ahead of them for second place in the Western Conference.

A big reason for the drop in production and recent skid can be attributed to Draymond Green being out of the lineup. Green has not played real game action since January 5th; he was in the starting lineup for the game on January 9th when Klay Thompson made his return but checked out after seven seconds.

Draymond Green has essentially missed 28 games because of a lower back injury, but his time on the sidelines will be coming to an end soon.

The Golden State Warriors have gone 15-16 without Green in the lineup overall this season, so they will certainly be happy to get him back in the lineup. With him playing they are 28-6. He announced during an episode of his podcast that he is targeting March 14th to return to the court.

“Next Monday, the 14th, against the Wizards. That is the date I am targeting,” Green said on his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.” “I am excited as hell. It’s been two and a half months, almost … I have never missed that much time during the season … this is something different for me. I am extremely excited to get back out there with my guys to try right this ship.”
