The Dallas Mavericks will be putting their five-game winning streak on the line vs the New York Knicks at the American Airlines Center during the NBA Wednesday slate.
New York is coming into the game with some momentum of their own after blowing out the LA Clippers and Sacramento Kings in a back-to-back set on Sunday and Monday evening.
This is a game that a lot of New York Knicks fans will be tuning in to see as their potential future point guard, Jalen Brunson plays for the Dallas Mavericks. There has been a lot of chatter about the Knicks pursuing him this offseason when he is a free agent, but fans may not get to see him on the court.
Brunson has been dealing with a foot injury that forced him to miss Monday’s game against the Utah Jazz. Will that impact his status for the Knicks vs Mavericks matchup? It was only the second game of the season that Brunson has missed and head coach Jason Kidd is hopeful that he can get on the court tomorrow night.

Doing some work on the court today is certainly encouraging, as the injury isn’t a long-term one.
If he misses Wednesday’s matchup against New York, Dallas will be back in action on Friday night kicking off a five-game road trip against the Houston Rockets. Spencer Dinwiddie would likely slide into the starting lineup again for Jalen Brunson.
