Over the course of this run for Luka Doncic, he has recorded six 40-point games, including a career-high 51 points against the Clippers on February 10. The Mavericks are 21-7 since the start of 2022 and without Luka Doncic, they would not even be scratching the surface of the playoffs in the Western Conference.
One man cannot carry a team to a title in the NBA anymore given all the talent across the board, but Luka Doncic has carried the Mavericks all season long and could very well carry them to a playoff series win for the first time since 2011.
The MVP race this season seems to be between Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic, with a few other names popping up in the conversation, but Luka Doncic truly deserves some recognition for this award.
