3 Intriguing Options For LeBron James To Pursue Fifth NBA Title

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers, NBA Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

It has been an underwhelming 2021-22 NBA season for the Los Angeles Lakers with really not many ways to put a positive spin on things. The Russell Westbrook trade has been a flop and now there doesn’t appear to be much of a trajectory for the organization to turn things around.

The future of LeBron James with the Lakers organization has come into focus as of late, but he has since attempted to temper those talks by reaffirming his commitment.

Simply moving Russell Westbrook in a trade is not nearly going to be enough for the Lakers to get back to where they want to be. Such a move would deplete them of whatever remaining trade assets they have, especially when considering the significant overstatement of Talen Horton-Tucker’s trade value.

There is a real need for the Lakers to bolster their supporting cast with more shooting and just general contributing talents. There was a real depletion of their complementary talents when moving Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell. What’s the way out of this for Los Angeles?
