The 2022 NBA trade deadline was one that plenty of movement was expected to occur. It certainly lived up to the billing, as there were some big trades before the February 10th deadline.
While there weren’t as many trades overall as in years past, as 10 trades involving 33 players were made on Thursday, with six deals and 24 more players being moved in the week ahead of the deadline, there were some blockbusters.
Numerous current All-Stars, former All-Stars, and future All-Stars were on the move. The biggest deal of all involved the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers, as the Ben Simmons saga finally came to an end. He was part of the trade package to Brooklyn that brought James Harden to the City of Brotherly Love.
Some teams made their intentions clear, as they were moving players with draft compensation being the centerpiece of deals coming back. Others made deals looking to upgrade the roster to make a push the remainder of the season for a playoff push.

The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, two teams struggling to find consistency this season, were looking to make upgrades but were unable to complete a deal. Even a trade between the two teams fell apart heading into Thursday’s deadline.
With all of the player movement that did occur, some players will benefit whether it was from being moved or staying put and logjam being alleviated. Here are four players set to benefit the most from deals made at the deadline.
