This Lakers-Magic Trade Sends Terrence Ross To L.A.

Terrence Ross, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be in a challenging situation as a franchise as the NBA trade deadline nears. The pressure is on to win immediately with LeBron James in the fold but Russell Westbrook’s contract and lack of production on the floor has been a limiting factor in those efforts.

The type of roster changes the Lakers can make may not end up being enough to put them into serious title contention, either. There just isn’t a whole lot of trade value they can muster up in a potential offer. Despite that, action is needed.

They’ve offered up Talen Horton-Tucker and a first for Jerami Grant, and most likely have thrown out that same package to some other teams. But the players they are targeting are borderline stars. Ultimately, the package they’re offering isn’t good enough to get a star.

But that doesn’t mean it’s not good enough to get a quality rotational player.
