Bing Bong. Coming into the 2021-22 NBA season the New York Knicks were revved up and ready to go. Then they beat the Boston Celtics on opening night at Madison Square Garden in a double-overtime thriller. Things were looking up and the Big Apple was rocking.

Man oh man have things gone downhill.

New York is now 23-25 on the season and sits at 11th in the Eastern Conference. That means, if the playoffs started today, the Knicks would not be in. And it’s safe to say that fans aren’t too happy with how their team is performing right now.

Julius Randle just isn’t playing at the level he was last year. The team’s offseason acquisitions haven’t panned out the way they might have hoped. RJ Barrett has had his fair share of cold stretches. Things are a mess right now.

However, the one thing Knicks fans can agree upon is the fact that the Knicks still need a point guard. Kemba Walker isn’t playing up to par, and having a star point guard is something New York has been trying to acquire for a long, long time now.
