NBA All-Star Ben Simmons is still a part of the Philadelphia 76ers organization. The long-winded, drama-filled journey continues as GM Daryl Morey tries to find an acceptable return for his young superstar, and Simmons remains away from the team.

According to recent reports, the Sixers have no plans to rush the process, either. They want to get the best possible return for Simmons, and if that means holding onto him past this year’s trade deadline, then they are more than willing to do so.

The latest rumors revealed that the 76ers are waiting to make a run at James Harden this upcoming summer. His plan is to wait and analyze the open market, rather than simply sign an extension with the Brooklyn Nets before the offseason.

This doesn’t mean that other teams aren’t trying to make a run at Simmons, though. It just means that they would have to send in a ridiculous offer in order to entice Philadelphia.
