Does this trade make sense for the Memphis Grizzlies?

This is a lot of value for the Memphis Grizzlies to give up and given their success during the first-half of the season, a trade like this could certainly destroy the chemistry of this team. 

The risk that comes with this trade could be too much for GM Zach Kleiman and the Grizzlies’ front-office to bring into their organization, but Pascal Siakam is certainly a talented player that could work wonders for this team at the center position. 

Now in his 6th NBA season, Siakam is averaging 21.0 points, 8.3 rebounds (career-high), 1.2 steals (career-high) and is shooting 47.3% from the floor. Being a lengthy, two-way big man, Pascal Siakam is one of those players that can do a little bit of everything to help his team win, much like that of Ja Morant in Memphis right now. 

If the Grizzlies are willing to sacrifice future value to win right now, then this trade with Toronto could make sense for them, however, it really is not worth the risk.

Dillon Brooks is an essential player on the Grizzlies’ roster right now, as is Steven Adams, and with them being just 5 games back from first-place in the Western Conference, there is no need to want to shake things up roster-wise. 

Memphis is in a great spot as a franchise and the best thing about this team is that they are only going to get better the rest of the season as they continue to gain experience.
