This would be some blockbuster trade in the NBA if it was to happen, but the chances of a trade like this happening are only high in NBA 2K!

Boston has made their intentions to keep Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum together long-term very clear and Los Angeles has shown no interest whatsoever in splitting up LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Hypothetically speaking though, this trade could wind up addressing key issues both the Celtics and Lakers currently have on their rosters.

The Celtics have two frontcourt contributors in Robert Williams and Al Horford, but their struggles to score in the paint this season are well documented.

Boston ranks just 19th in the league in points in the paint and outside of Tatum and Brown, they really do not have many contributing, consistent factors on the offensive-end of the floor.

Not only does Anthony Davis make them better offensively in terms of scoring down-low, but he upgrades their frontcourt defense, giving them two of the league’s better rim-protectors in Williams and Davis.

In Los Angeles, the Lakers really need to approach the trade deadline with the mindset of adding another playmaker next to LeBron James. Russell Westbrook is going to have to stick around seeing as no team in the league wants him, but adding Jaylen Brown could pay off big time given his ability to create for himself.

On the season, Brown is averaging 24.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and is shooting 45.9% from the floor, once again cementing himself not only as one of the better, young scoring wings in the league, but also being one of the better two-way wings in the league.

The impact Brown would have for the Lakers would be immense and given how good of a defender Marcus Smart is on the perimeter, the Lakers would be adding the necessary depth they need to contend for another title.
