The Memphis Grizzlies are in a great spot to make some noise in the NBA Playoffs this year. Ja Morant has turned himself into an All-NBA-level player and is the likely frontrunner for the Most Improved Player Award. As of now, they’re playing like a top-three seed in the West.

Memphis has some great pieces around Morant, too. Desmond Bane has made a huge leap in his sophomore season, Jaren Jackson Jr. is playing his role well, and Dillon Brooks is turning into the amazing two-way player the Grizzlies needed him to be.

They’ve separated themselves from many of the teams in the West to this point, and are looking like one of the most dangerous young teams in the league. Memphis even surpassed the Utah Jazz and trailed only the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.

However, if they want to make a serious playoff run this year, some extra help around the perimeter could be useful. Enter the Charlotte Hornets.

The Memphis Grizzlies could use Gordon Hayward as a complementary piece next to Morant, while the Hornets could use some players that better fir their needs
