Detroit Pistons Receive: G Malik Beasley, F Taurean Prince, F Jake Layman, MIN 2023 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected)
Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: F Jerami Grant, F Josh Jackson
With the amount of interest Jerami Grant is receiving league-wide, the Detroit Pistons will definitely be able to choose the best package available and dictate the terms of any potential trade involving Jerami Grant.
While they were unwilling to discuss trades pertaining to Grant in the offseason or at the beginning of the season, the Pistons do now appear to be entertaining offers for him and open to trading him for a big return.
Detroit is still rebuilding and while things look promising with Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart and others, this organization is still a long way away from being anything special.
No rebuild is ever fun or easy, but the Pistons could absolutely put themselves in a better long-term position by potentially leveraging Jerami Grant right now.

However, the Minnesota Timberwolves do not have many young assets that they would be willing to offer up. Malik Beasley, 25, is a fairly young and proven scorer on the wing, but neither Jake Layman or Taurean Prince bring much value to the Pistons.
They are nothing more than salary-fillers in this trade, which is why the Timberwolves may have to be willing to attach another first-round pick to this trade in addition to the 2023 first-round pick they would already be sending to Detroit.
As for Minnesota, adding Jerami Grant on the wing could create a very well-balanced two-way lineup for them, possibly one of the better starting rotations in the league.
Patrick Beverley, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, Jerami Grant and Karl-Anthony Towns not only presents success on the defensive-end of the floor, but a lot of firepower on the offensive-end of the floor as well.

These five players combined are averaging 94.6 points per game on the season, which is why this trade would instantly make the Timberwolves a better offensive team than they currently are. Jerami Grant can help a lot of teams in the league right now and him landing in Minnesota would surely make the T-Wolves a playoff threat in the Western Conference.
