San Antonio Spurs Receive: F John Collins, F Danilo Gallinari
Atlanta Hawks Receive: G Derrick White, F Thaddeus Young, G Lonnie Walker IV, C Drew Eubanks
If John Collins truly wants to be traded, then this trade wouldn’t be terrible for either side. The Atlanta Hawks would get a few defensive-minded pieces (which they desperately need), while the San Antonio Spurs would pair Dejounte Murray with another potential All-Star.
Collins has been putting up great numbers this year in Atlanta. The fifth-year big man is averaging 17.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 53.6 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from behind the three-point line.
Derrick White, one of the league’s most underrated combo guards, is putting up 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this year while shooting 42.8 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from deep. Meanwhile, Lonnie Walker IV is averaging 11.5 points on 39.1-29.9 shooting splits.
Thaddeus Young hasn’t played much for the Spurs this season but has grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing time.

Drew Eubanks showed some potential towards the start of the year, but Jock Landale is slowly stealing his minutes. Lastly, Danilo Gallinari has underperformed this year, but is still under a massive contract.
There would definitely be a lot of moving parts in this deal, with six players swapping teams, but it could work out for the best for everyone involved? Why should both the Hawks and the Spurs be interested in a trade like this one?
