The Atlanta Hawks just completed a comeback over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. Unfortunately, they still sit fairly comfortably in 12th place in the Eastern Conference. However, that is only the beginning of their issues ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

According to recent NBA rumors, power forward John Collins has become increasingly unhappy with his role in Atlanta. He wants to play a bigger role within the team, but since that has yet to happen, he has expressed his ire repeatedly.

Reports say that everybody on the Hawks’ roster is available on the trade market except for Trae Young and Clint Capela.

Atlanta already dealt Cam Reddish to the Knicks in the first trade of the offseason, so who knows what could be next for them?

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs are in a weird spot. They still have the mentality and coaching of the Spurs of old, but they don’t have the talent to compete in the Western Conference this year with how stiff the competition is.

While the Spurs don’t normally make in-season trades, could there be a deal to be done that would send Collins to San Antonio? What would that trade look like? Why would the Hawks be interested, and on top of that, why would San Antonio be?
