The pairing of Christian Wood and Joel Embiid would certainly be an interesting one. Wood’s ability to space the floor would certainly help, but there’s no question that both like to work down low. That being said, Doc Rivers could find a way to make it work.
Eric Gordon, oddly enough, would be (arguably) the best pickup in this trade for Philadelphia. Gordon has been absolutely lights out from deep this year and is one of the most efficient scorers in the NBA. Having that sort of production off the bench (on in the starting five) would be huge.
In addition, Jae’Sean Tate would give the 76ers a nice extra option at the forward position. He’s not a great three-point shooter, but he can still score the ball and defend at an alright level. Tate would simply be extra depth on an already deep 76ers team.

Their starting lineup would look the same, realistically, unless they traded Tobias Harris. If so, Wood would obviously start. And if not, then Philadelphia’s bench would easily be one of the best in the league. When trying to win a title, that’s just as crucial as almost anything else.
