Does this trade make sense for the Philadelphia 76ers?
For the last several months, Daryl Morey and the Sixers’ front-office have been unwilling to budge on their asking price for Ben Simmons, but Jerami Grant and John Collins definitely equate to an All-Star-level talent.
Both of them individually are not All-Stars, but together they could bring a ton of value to Philadelphia. Jerami Grant could be a two-way talent on the wing for the Philadelphia 76ers, giving them a key secondary scorer next to Joel Embiid, and John Collins would finally give this team a true power-forward to help Embiid in terms of rebounding down-low.
Tobias Harris’ future is very much in doubt with the 76ers right now and it would not come as a shock to see them try to trade him ahead of the deadline along with Simmons.
This trade gives the 76ers two key forwards to win right now with, allowing them to pursue this trade involving Tobias Harris that they are interested in. They would get extra draft compensation to possibly leverage along with Harris and the 76ers could focus on adding more talent to their backcourt to go along with Grant, Collins and Embiid.
