3 Trade Targets For Atlanta Hawks To Keep Tabs On Going Forward

Atlanta Hawks, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

It has not been the 2021-22 NBA season that the Atlanta Hawks were hoping for after an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals. Instead, the Hawks find themselves below .500 and out of the playoff picture to this point. That could change as the year continues to play out depending on moves made at the deadline.

The Hawks need to prove that last season was not a fluke. They improved a bit quicker than expected and took the league by surprise. Now, it is looking like they are one-year wonders.

Trae Young and John Collins signed extensions in the offseason, which means the Hawks were able to lock down their core moving forward. The star power is there but the Hawks could continue to build around their big names in hopes of becoming more balanced on both ends of the floor.

This is where a trade could come into play. The Hawks need to focus on the defensive end of the floor. Atlanta is currently allowing 111.5 points per game, which is 25th in the league. They continue to shoot the ball well at 37.4% from three-point range but it has not translated to success.

The offense has not been the problem. This is where Atlanta could look for some depth pieces or backcourt mates next to Young that can help on that end of the floor.

The Atlanta Hawks should begin to set their sights on some moves. Here are three potential options the Hawks could target.
