3 Trade Packages Involving Myles Turner For Pacers To Consider

Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers, NBA Trade Rumors

While they have always been a competitive team in the Eastern Conference, the Indiana Pacers have really regressed from the contending team that they used to be in the NBA. Not only did the Pacers miss the playoffs last season, but their losing woes have seemed to carry over to this season, as the Pacers are just 15-26 on the season.

Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert and Myles Turner make up a strong core in Indiana and T.J. Warren is getting closer to making his return from a foot injury that forced him to miss all but four games last season, but still, the Pacers have some major roster problems to fix.

This team has limited draft assets through the years, they really do not have any young talents to build with/through other than Domantas Sabonis and Chris Duarte, plus the Eastern Conference is much stronger than it has been through the years.

With the trade deadline less than a month away, the Pacers are going to be very busy on the phones and it is very likely that they will be making a significant roster change.

Brogdon is not going anywhere after inking a long-term extension and it seems reasonable to believe Sabonis will remain in Indiana, but Myles Turner could wind up being the “odd-man-out” for this team.

While he is one of the best shot-blockers in the NBA today, Myles Turner is expendable to the Pacers and with just one more year left on his contract after this season, now is the time for them to try and capitalize on his value.

Not to mention, Turner seems to be unhappy with his current situation with the Indiana Pacers. When talking with The Athletic’s Jared Weiss recently, Myles Turner stated, ““It’s clear that I’m not valued as anything more than a glorified role player here, and I want something more, more opportunity…”

I do not know about you, but to me, this sounds like a player who already has one foot out the door!

Myles Turner has been the anchor for the Pacers defensively through the years, but they barely utilize him on offense and could look to get a considerable return for him on the open market. With that said, let’s take a look at three trade packages for Indiana to consider involving Turner.
