Both the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks have been struggling to live up to expectations this NBA season.
The Celtics are currently in the mix for a play-in spott, and the Hawks are fighting to get in that mix. While that’s all well and good, fans expected each of them to be bonafide playoff teams.
The Celtics have struggled to close out games. A lot of people have brought up the idea of trading Jaylen Brown. While Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the team isn’t interested in splitting up their All-Star duo of Jayson Tatum and Brown, the idea will always resurface when the team struggles.
Meanwhile, Trae Young has been putting up incredible numbers for the Hawks this year. Unfortunately, disappointing seasons from Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari have slowed them down. Combine that with a fairly poor defense, and Atlanta is not in an ideal position this season.
