Does this trade make sense for the Atlanta Hawks?

Trading Cam Reddish is absolutely a possibility at the NBA trade deadline this season for the Atlanta Hawks, but they really should be trying to do everything they can to keep young guys like him and De’Andre Hunter.

What Atlanta needs to try and do is move on from Danilo Gallinari’s contract and then consider the possibility of moving Bogdan Bogdanovic as well.

Both veterans were two key signings of Atlanta ahead of the 2020-21 season, but in 30 games this season, Gallinari is only averaging 9.8 points and shooting 41% from the floor. For a guy making $20M this season, this is simply not going to cut it and the Hawks should be doing everything they can to try and replace him in the rotation.

Cam Reddish has been a fantastic offensive weapon on the perimeter this season for the Hawks and if they can get out of Gallinari’s contract, they can not only bring in another impactful player this year, but they can wind up being able to afford Reddish long-term.
