Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: G/F Cam Reddish
Atlanta Hawks Receive: F Kenrich Williams, WAS 2023 1st Round Pick (Lottery-Protected, via OKC)

Cam Reddish is a very bright young talent in this league, but his asking price does not appear to be too high. According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, Reddish has been attracting interest around the league, but it is hard to imagine that a team could be able to acquire him without offering up a first-round pick.

Around the 2021 NBA Draft this past offseason, the Atlanta Hawks made Reddish available in trade talks with the mindset of possibly moving up into the back-half of the lottery. No real trade talks ever developed, but there was a level of interest across the league in the young wing.

Now, with Cam Reddish having a career-year and multiple teams looking for more scoring talent on the wing, Reddish’s value may have increased past a first-round pick.

Should Atlanta still want a first-round pick for Reddish, the Thunder definitely have an appealing case to make because of all the draft capital they have stored up.

Oklahoma City would most likely only be willing to give up one first-round pick, but it is possible that a package of a first-rounder, Kenrich Williams and possibly another second-round pick could be enough to persuade the Hawks.

Kenrich Williams is not a better talent than that of Reddish and he would not have a major impact in Atlanta, but he has been a steady role player since arriving in OKC.

Since the start of last season, Williams has averaged 7.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and has shot 42% from three-point range, making him a versatile player on the wing.

Atlanta would wind up losing a little bit of scoring production with Reddish, but they would save themselves a lot of money by moving Cam Reddish right now, as well as add some draft capital moving forward.

The main problem on the Atlanta Hawks’ roster right now is the fact that Bogdanovic and Gallinari are eating up about $38.4M in cap space this season, but that is a problem that they could figure out after moving on from Reddish at the NBA trade deadline.
