Los Angeles Lakers Receive: C Myles Turner
Indiana Pacers Receive: F Talen Horton-Tucker, G Kendrick Nunn, C DeAndre Jordan, 2025 First-Round Pick

The Los Angeles Lakers are hamstrung when it comes to assets to build a trade package with. They surrendered their most tradeable contracts in the deal to land Russell Westbrook from the Washington Wizards in the offseason.

Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell were all included in that deal. As a result, the Lakers have one package left to try and upgrade the roster with; Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn and a future first-round pick.

Is that enough to entice the Indiana Pacers to part ways with Myles Turner? It is hard to say because Turner is garnering a lot of interest in the trade market. But, the Lakers are going to try their hardest and this is likely the best they can bring to the table.

Horton-Tucker is oozing with potential and could be a nice long-term piece as a two-way wing for the Pacers to build around. Nunn was someone linked to them in free agency before ultimately signing with the Lakers. DeAndre Jordan is included to help match salaries and could find himself on the buyout market once again following this deal.

The first-round pick won’t convey for a few years, but that could prove to be extremely valuable. There isn’t a single player on the Los Angeles Lakers’ books for when the 2025 NBA Draft would roll around. It is anyone’s guess what they could look like, as Los Angeles will look vastly different in three years than they do now.
