During the offseason, there were NBA trade rumors that the Indiana Pacers tried to trade for Ben Simmons. The reported offer was Malcolm Brogdon and TJ Warren.
While that’s admittedly a little bit of a lowball offer, the Philadelphia 76ers would probably have been better off this year if they took it.
Simmons has suited up for the Sixers yet this season, and at this point, he’s not going to. The NBA All-Star is dealing with mental health issues and says he is not ready to play basketball right now. At the same time, though, the team has been fining him. It’s a mess.
That last phrase can be used to describe the Indiana Pacers’ season so far, too – a mess. Earlier this year reports surfaced that they plan on cleaning house. Rumors are that Domantas, Sabonis, Caris LeVert, and Myles Turner are all on the trade block.
