Chicago Bulls Receive: G Derrick Rose, 2022 Second Round Pick (via CHA)
New York Knicks Receive: F Derrick Jones Jr., G Coby White
It has been a slow start to the 2021-22 NBA season for the New York Knicks as they rank 11th in the Eastern Conference standings.
If the Knicks are open to making some trades involving older veterans to free up some flexibility for the offseason, moving Derrick Rose makes plenty of sense. A title contender like the Chicago Bulls could be an intriguing suitor to take on Rose.
The trade value for Rose isn’t the strongest when considering he is already 33-years-old and has an injury history. While he makes a big impact when he’s on the court, there’s to factor in for any player than just basic production in the now.
The contract for Rose is less than ideal, especially when considering his recent ankle surgery. The Bulls would certainly need to see where his rehab is closer to the NBA trade deadline.
