Boston Celtics Receive: G De’Aaron Fox, F Terence Davis, PHI 2022 1st Round Pick (Top-5 Protected), PHI 2024 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to BOS)
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown, F Juan Hernangomez
Sacramento Kings Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, G Jaden Springer, PHI 2023 1st Round Pick (Swap, More Favorable to SAC)

It is worth mentioning that both Favale and myself both believe that Jaylen Brown is not going to be going anywhere anytime soon, but he is certainly the one guy on the Celtics’ roster holding the most trade value right now.

Jaylen Brown is in his 6th NBA season, he is having another All-Star-like season, and Brown has been mentioned as one of the few players the Philadelphia 76ers would be willing to trade Ben Simmons for. Philadelphia is wanting “All-Star-level” value in return for Simmons in any trades this season, hence why they have not traded him yet.

Finding this kind of value, especially at the beginning of a season, is extremely hard, but now at the trade deadline, maybe the Sixers will be able to find the right trade package that they have been searching for.

The addition of Jaylen Brown next to Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris certainly throws the 76ers in the mix to win the Eastern Conference and he is exactly the kind of two-way All-Star this team needs to try and add.

As for the Sacramento Kings, they have been unwilling to give up guys like De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton for Ben Simmons in the past, but their stance on this could finally be changing.

Sam Amick of The Athletic wrote recently that the Kings would “prefer” to keep both Fox and Haliburton, but he did note that “no player is officially off-the-table” in trade talks for Sacramento.

The Boston Celtics really need a point guard that can not only play with other stars, but be someone the franchise can build around as well.

De’Aaron Fox is certainly that kind of player and could be someone the franchise is interested in pairing with Jayson Tatum for the foreseeable future. Duke Blue Devils and Kentucky Wildcats normally do not pair well with one another, but an exception can be made here.
