The Indiana Pacers sound like a team ready to make some moves ahead of the NBA trade deadline. There was some optimism that bringing Rick Carlisle back as head coach would help the team turn things around, but that has not been the case.
After losing in the NBA Play-In Tournament last season, the Pacers would be lucky to even qualify for the tournament at the conclusion of this season. Entering a rebuild is something that has been mentioned before, and it wouldn’t be the worst plan. Indiana looks like they are going nowhere fast this season. Shaking things up is something people expected to happen for a while and it sounds like they are finally ready to commit to it.
One of the players that were mentioned as possibly being on the trade block was Domantas Sabonis. The two-time All-Star would net the Indiana Pacers a solid package that can keep them competitive now and improve their future outlook.
