Atlanta Hawks Receive: G/F Ben Simmons, F Furkan Korkmaz
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Bogdan Bogdanovic, F De’Andre Hunter, F Cam Reddish, G Delon Wright, 2023 First-Round Pick, 2025 First-Round Pick
Rumors are that Philadelphia 76ers GM Daryl Morey is looking to get an All-Star-caliber player back in return for Ben Simmons.
While this trade wouldn’t give him that, Simmons’ value is dropping by the day. At some point, the Sixers are going to have to come to terms with the fact that they aren’t going to get the return they want.
Furkan Korkmaz would also be headed to Atlanta in this deal. He’s having a down year this season, averaging 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists this season while shooting 38.3 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from deep.
Meanwhile, the 76ers would get a bunch of new wing players. Bogdan Bogdanovic would be the main face in the deal, but like Korkmaz, is having a down year. He’s averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists this year while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from deep.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: 3 Ben Simmons Trades We’d Like To See Before NBA Trade Deadline
Cam Reddish and De’Andre Hunter are the two young pieces Philadelphia should be eager to get their hands on. While Hunter has been out due to injury for the majority of this season, Reddish is averaging 12.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 40.2 percent from the field and 37.9 percent from deep.
Delon Wright would be more of a throw-in, but he’d be some nice depth for the Sixers, too. All in all, this is a decent trade for all parties. Starting with the Atlanta Hawks, though, why should they be interested in this trade?
