The Miami Heat went on a huge spending spree this past NBA offseason. They were able to reshape their roster as a result, turning back into contenders in the Eastern Conference. Thus far, the moves have paid off.
Miami is 24-15 on the season and holding down the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference. When you take into consideration they have had Bam Adebayo for only 18 of those games, it makes their win-loss record that much more impressive.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra has done a wonderful job finding roles for everyone and the players are excelling. Getting production from unheralded players such as Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Omer Yurtseven is one of the best things that he has done this season.
But, with players emerging in expanded roles, that means someone has to see theirs scaled back. One of the players who has begun taking a back seat at times is Duncan Robinson. Robinson signed a five-year, $90 million deal as a restricted free agent, but has seen his crunch-time minutes scaled back this season.

Could this be a sign of things to come? Robinson was retained because of his elite 3-point shooting, but he has taken a step back in that regard this season. He is not a highly regarded defender, so if he isn’t knocking down jump shots, he doesn’t provide much impact on winning.
His value is low right now, but there are still some teams that would take a shot on him around the league given his track record. Here are three teams that should pursue a deal for Robinson would the opportunity present itself.
