3 Trade Targets For Hawks Using Gallinari, Reddish In Package

Atlanta Hawks, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Atlanta Hawks are a team that will be looking to make some moves in the coming weeks ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline. At 17-20 on the season, something needs to change if they are to qualify for the postseason a second straight year.

The Hawks have been unable to consistently replicate the success that helped lead them to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021. Their defense has been a big issue, again, as they give up far too many easy baskets.

Atlanta has the worst transition defense in the NBA, giving up the most points per possession on plays that end in a turnover despite ranking near the top of the NBA in the fewest turnovers per game.

Opponents are taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them, even if it comes after a made Hawks basket.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Cam Reddish, Danilo Gallinari Most Likely Hawks To Be Traded

Luckily for Atlanta, they have the pieces to swing a deal. Cam Reddish and Danilo Gallinari are two players that could be available in trade. The Hawks could probably get more for Reddish alone, but if they are looking to shed Gallinari’s contract, attaching him to an asset as valuable as Reddish makes sense.

There are plenty of teams that would like to acquire Reddish, but the pool may shrink a little in a package with Gallinari. Here are three players that the Hawks should target using that duo in a trade package.
