Memphis Grizzlies Receive: F Gordon Hayward
Charlotte Hornets Receive: C Steven Adams, F Kyle Anderson, 2023 Second-Round Pick
This trade would send Gordon Hayward to the Memphis Grizzlies, giving them another high-level perimeter threat to help them compete this season.
Hayward could take some of the playmaking duties off of Ja Morant’s hands and provide some extra shooting around the perimeter.
Hayward has two years left on his contract after this one and makes roughly $30 million each season. So far this year, he’s averaging 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three-point range.
Meanwhile, the Hornets would be getting an upgrade at center, as well as a perimeter player to help replace Hayward. Steven Adams is under contract for this year and next year, while Kyle Anderson’s contract will be up at the end of the year.
