How This Trade Impacts Houston Rockets

The goal for the Houston Rockets is now the development of its young players with Jalen Green being the central focus. As a result, John Wall and the organization reached an agreement for him to not appear in games going forward until he can be moved.

Gordon helped the Rockets significant to relatively stay afloat while their young talents have been out of the lineup, but ultimately, the goal should be to be best-positioned for a rebuild.

Moving on from Gordon while his trade value is as high as it’s ever going to be would be an intriguing option for the Rockets to capitalize on. The Lakers are a uniquely desperate contender in the Western Conference given they are just one game above .500 after 39 games.

It would be an intriguing option to add Kendrick Nunn for the Rockets. However, there’s also the case to be made that he could be re-routed for another asset closer to the NBA trade deadline.
