How This Trade Impacts LA Clippers

The LA Clippers could use a boost on the offensive side of the ball. John Wall is someone that could help them on that side of the ball that is certainly available to be acquired via trade.

With a better supporting cast around him, Wall could see his efficiency bump up. He won’t be required to carry the entire offense, instead just be someone that can fill a scoring role behind Paul George.

While not as lightning quick as he was before the injuries, Wall still has a little burst to get to the basket. But, there are likely other avenues that the team would explore before pursuing Wall in a trade.

LA should not be trading three rotation pieces for one, especially since they do not know how big of an upgrade that Wall would be.

Bledsoe has been okay in his role this season, but parting ways with two of their better 3-point shooters would also be detrimental to the offense.

The only real benefit from this deal is that the Clippers would save some long-term money, as Wall is only signed through 2023 if he picks up his player option, while Kennard is signed through 2024 with a team option.
